On the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, a few minutes away from the renowned Carara Biological Reserve and the famous Manuel Antonio National Park you will find the Amapola Hotel in the midst of lush vegetation and exotic tropical fauna, located in Jaco, a small and lively town, only 58 miles away from San José.  You can travel safely on a very good road from the high Central Valley to the warm coastal lands. 

From Juan Santamaría International airport:  
  
Take the Bernardo Soto highway to the west, turn right at the Atenas-Orotina junction (to the north), turn left (to the west) and follow the highway to San Mateo-Orotina, keep going along highway 34 (coast highway to Puerto Caldera) until you reach the Jacó-Quepos junction, then turn right (to the east) go under the bridge and follow the signs until you get to the town of Jaco.  
  
From Liberia: 
  
Take the Inter American highway to San Jose (to the south), when you reach the Puntarenas junction, turn right (to the west) and keep going along the Caldera-Orotina highway until you reach the crossroad to San Jerónimo; then turn right again (to the west) to Jacó-Quepos and follow the road signs until you get to the town of Jaco.
